Water All Around

"Water all around...never learn how to swim now." This site is devoted to great alternative music. Like "Swingin' Party" by the Replacements from which the aforementioned lyrics hail. These posts are intended to introduce visitors to bands that I believe deserve greater attention. If you wish to have an MP3 removed, email me at zotzedwriter@yahoo.com.

All good. I have more favorite tunes from many of those albums. Hold Steady's Southtown Girls and First Night. Jenny Lewis Rise up with fists. The Pipettes' You're Kisses are wasted on me and Pull Shapes. The Thermals' Here's your Future. The rest of the list I don't know. I look forward to investigating.

I like all you mentioned as well. It's tough pickin' a single tune from a solid album....

Thanx for all good posts during the year. Jenny Lewis, Briggs, Costello, Bobby Bare Jr and all the Friday fives. My faves this includes a lot of stuff you've mentioned plus the Bronx "S/T", Time Again "The stories are true", Priestess "Hello Master" and some good Swedes like Miss Li, Backyard Babies and the Baboon Show. And my weakness for Kasey Chambers goes on even if her fourth solo album was quite weak. And have to salute Farmer Jason (Ringenberg), an idol o'mine since the beginning of the Scorchers era back in '84. OK, it's a CD made for the kids but also absolutely brilliant!!!
Merry Xmas, Kent
